We collect and use personal information for the purposes below. (Card payment details are not included here because they never reach us — they are entered directly into our payment provider’s secure fields; see Who we share your information with.)

To process and manage membership applications

  • Names and contact details
  • Company name and job title
  • The membership tier applied for
  • The information you give us in your application (your reason for joining, and how you heard about us)

To sell event tickets and manage your bookings

  • Billing name and email address
  • The name and email address of each attendee on a booking
  • Your order and ticket history (what you bought, amounts, any discount code used)
  • Payment references from our payment provider (used to reconcile and refund payments — these are not card details)

To respond to your enquiries, complaints or requests

Who we share your information with

We use trusted third-party service providers (“processors”) to run our website and services. They only process your data on our instructions. We do not sell your personal information.

  • Stripe — processes card payments for event tickets. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them.
  • HubSpot — provides our marketing and analytics tools (only active where you have consented to analytics/marketing cookies).
  • Postmark — delivers our transactional emails (such as account verification, password resets and order confirmations) and contact-form messages.
  • GoDaddy — hosts our website and database.
  • Cloudflare — provides the content-delivery and security layer in front of our website.

We may also share information where we are legally required to do so.

International data transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the UK.

  • Stripe and Postmark may process data in the United States.
  • HubSpot processes our data on its EU-based infrastructure.

Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect it. Each of these providers publishes the safeguards it uses.

Embedded content

Some pages include content from other services, which may set their own cookies when that content is present:

  • Spotify (podcast players) and Vimeo / YouTube (videos) set their own cookies when you view that content.
